Eastern Tennessee - Great Smoky Mountains
Eastern Tennessee is a vactioners paradise. Within an easy drive, all places east of the Mississippi River, the area attracts visitors all year round. Shopping, dinner theaters, attractions and theme parks provide a endless list of things to do and see. Gatlinburg features museums, aquarium, rides, restaurants and the western entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. To the south you can find Cades Cove and the scenic motor loop through the prestine farming valley maintained by the park. Beautifully restored homesteads and barns dot the landscape like they once did 100 years ago. It's also a great place for wildlife viewing. Deer often frequent the open fields to forage.
