On a typical night’s menu, your choices could include prime rib, baked ham or herb-baked chicken. On another night, you could find yourself enjoying an old-fashioned cookout, with steaks, ribs, chicken and chops sizzling cheerfully on the outdoor grill while the soft blue peaks of the Great Smokies serve up the ultimate feast for the eyes. The evening’s entrees may vary, but they’re always plentiful. And always accompanied by fresh seasonal vegetables, hot dinner rolls, homemade jellies and desserts.
Lunch is also served every day. A hamburger and hot-dog cookout maybe. Or from a menu that includes fresh garden salads, homemade soups and deli-style sandwiches.
If you’re an overnight guest, both breakfast and dinner are included in your lodging rates. If you aren’t, you’re invited to join us any time, as long as space is available for that meal. After all, as most of our guests would tell you, Cataloochee cooking is an experience that was definitely meant to be shared.
Come for the food, stay for the views
There’s a place for everybody, here at this historic resort in the western North Carolina mountains. You. Your family. Your friends. Or however many people (within reason, of course) you want to bring along.
Your lodging choices range from cozy, comfortable rooms in the main Ranch House, to individual cabins that sleep from two to eight people, to the Silverbell Lodge, designed especially for larger gatherings. Whether you opt to spend all your time at the Ranch, or to venture out to explore the nearby towns of Maggie Valley and Waynesville, you'll come home every night to the peace and tranquility of the age-old Smoky Mountains. And to the warm, welcoming spirit that will make you want to return to Cataloochee, again and again.
You may be a first-time guest, but we promise, you'll never be a stranger. We invite you to come and discover for yourself what makes a vacation with us an experience you'll remember for the rest of your life.
